The first step, take a look at this official webpage to see how you can start Google Cloud Shell.
Using the online terminal, you can start using the shell with Google Linux distro like any Linux.
Let’s see some information and commands used by Google Cloud Shell:

Using the apt-get install package command I install many useful Linux shell software.
The Cloud Shell machine lets you use custom commands for your Google projects, but you’ll need to enable billing in Cloud Console in order to use Google Cloud resources.
Let’s see a simple example:
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 | $ gcloud compute instances list API [compute.googleapis.com] not enabled on project [...]. Would you like to enable and retry (this will take a few minutes)? (y/N)? y Enabling service [compute.googleapis.com] on project [...]... ERROR: (gcloud.compute.instances.list) FAILED_PRECONDITION: Billing account for project '184938522632' is not found. Billing must be enabled for activation of service(s) 'compute.googleapis.com,compute.googleapis.com,compute.googleapis.com' to proceed. |
