This tutorial is about how to reset your Kaspersky password from your computer.
I used Windows 8.1 operating software and Kaspersky Internet Security 2019 the trial version.
To reset your password you need to run the regedit command into Safe Mode to change without
password.
First, use the administrator shell and use this command:
1 | msconfig |
This allows you to boot into Safe Mode.
Select the tab page Boot and select the option to Safe boot and restart your computer.
Use this command to make changes:
1 | regedit |
Go to this area:
1 | HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\KasperskyLab\AVP19.0.0\settings |
Change the value of the key EnablePswrdProtect from 1 to 0.
Remove the string from OPEP.
Use the first step to boot from Safe Mode into normal mode and restart your computer.
